Richard Allen Hinds (known as Ricky), passed away
on March 12, 2026, in Riverside, California, at the
age of 54.

Ricky was born on August 24, 1971, in Westminster,
California, and grew up in Orange, California. He
was a star wrestler at El Modena High School and
loved to work on cars, trucks and motorcycles.
After high school, Ricky started his own business,
Hinds Concrete Pumping, which he successfully ran
for several years. He later moved to Utah where he
attended truck driving school and earned his
Commercial Driver’s License.

He went on to build a career as a long-distance truck
driver—a profession he truly loved. Ricky was known for his generosity and
willingness to help others. During his time on the road, he received multiple
awards for assisting stranded drivers — acts of kindness that came naturally to
him. He never hesitated to lend a hand.

Ricky was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He was soft-spoken, kind, and
carried a natural warmth that made everyone feel welcome. He had a great sense of
humor, a bright smile, and a genuine laugh that could light up any room. No matter
the circumstances, Ricky chose joy and shared it freely with those around him.
Above all, Ricky cherished being a father. His daughter was the center of his
world, and he was so proud to be her dad. He loved her deeply, supported her
wholeheartedly, and found his greatest happiness in the time they spent together.

He is survived by his daughter, Ricky Hinds Jr.; stepdaughter, Kendal Oram;
mother, Donna Dawson; father, Jack Hinds; stepmother, Karlynne Hinds; brother,
Johnny Hinds; sisters, Jacqueline LaMay and Michelle Hinds; as well as many
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will cherish his memory.
Ricky’s legacy of kindness, humility, and quiet strength will live on in all who
knew and loved him.
