Diane Hope Tanner

December 21, 1936
February 19, 2025

Our beloved mother, Diane Hope Tanner, passed away peacefully on the night of February 19th, 2025, at midnight. She slipped away in her sleep, surrounded by the quiet comfort of her own bed at the Gardens of Riverside Memory Care Facility. Throughout her illness she experienced no pain, and we take solace knowing she was at peace. Diane’s long and brave battle with Alzheimer’s disease ultimately led to her passing.

She leaves behind a devoted family who will cherish her memory forever: her sons, Dale and Flynn; daughters-in-law, Cathy and Candi; stepdaughters Sherry and Teri; grandchildren, Rachel, Randy, and Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Anthony, Andre, Francesca, Colette, Randall, Roland, Sydney, Nash, and Mason.

Diane’s love and wisdom touched each of us, and her legacy will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured.

Diane will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Ralph Edward Tanner, in the wall at the Riverside National Cemetery. The exact date of the service is yet to be determined but we will ensure that everyone who wishes to attend has ample time to make travel arrangements. Following the ceremony, a luncheon will be held to honor her life and celebrate the love she gave to all who knew her. We invite all those who called her mom, grandma, Auntie D, sister, and friend to join us in this special time of remembrance.

We gather with open arms and loving hearts, united in our grief and our gratitude for the time we had with Diane. As we say our final goodbyes, we take comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with her husband Ralph, her sister, brother, mother, father, and many other loved ones who have gone before her. May she find peace in God’s loving grace and may her journey to Heaven be swift and filled with love.
