Our precious Delilah Jane McDonal passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on April 7, 2025, at 15 years old. Delilah was born on September 8, 2009, in Riverside. She lived in Perris and Riverside and attended May Ranch and Benjamin Franklin Elementary Schools, Amelia Earhart Middle School and was an 8th grade student at Riverside Virtual School at the time of her death.
While she spent most of her life wishing to be a normal kid, she was an exceptionally amazing person. She was bright and sparkly with a contagious laugh and a sly sense of humor. She was sensitive and caring. Shopping was a favorite pastime of Delilah’s from infancy, and she developed her own awesomely unique sense of fashion that she was very proud of. She amassed an enormous collection of plushies in her lifetime and never tired of searching for new unique friends to add to her collection. She never went anywhere without at least one of her plushie friends with her. She loved all animals, but especially her two cats, Henry and Louise. Delilah enjoyed spending time learning about new food, cooking, and exploring new cuisine. Despite this, her favorite food in the whole world was ramen noodles. She found peace coloring and loved making jewelry and hanging out with her brother. Home was always Delilah’s favorite place and she loved family time and outings, finding excitement in simple things.
She was incredibly loved and will forever be missed by her Mom and Dad, Angela and Weston McDonal; her brothers, Evan and Alex McDonal; Uncle, Kenny Kester and wife Handan Kester; Aunt, Andrea Rea and husband Drew Rea; cousins, Nora Kester, Isabella Rea, and Dalton Strickell; Grandparents Debbie Kester, Laura McDonal, Brad McDonal, and Hazel Cummins. She was preceded in death by her loving Papa, Terry Kester; her amazing aunt, Amanda Dick; and her sweet cousin, Dylan Strickell.
Our hearts are completely broken at the loss of our beautiful girl, and we will never forget our precious Delilah’s gentle spirit and the little bit of magic that surrounded her.
